We are thrilled to share that BBT patrons Arlene Herson and Pamela Higer-Polani will serve as Honorary Co-Chairs of this year’s gala! Read more about Arlene and Pamela below, and mark your calendars for what is sure to be a night to remember!
Arlene Herson
In addition to serving on numerous boards and committees for arts and culture organizations in South Florida, Arlene Herson received presidential and gubernatorial appointments to serve on the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council, the “Take Pride In America” Advisory Board, and the Florida Film & Entertainment Advisory Council. Arlene currently serves on BBT’s Board of Directors and has a long history of chairing special events over BBT’s 35-year history. Her leadership and generosity help ensure that Boca Raton’s artistic community remains a vibrant part of South Florida! We are thankful to have her leadership and vision as Co-Chair of our 35th Anniversary Gala!
Pamela Higer-Polani
Born and raised in South Florida, attorney and local philanthropist Pamela Higer-Polani is passionate about supporting the community she’s called home for long. Last year, Pam’s Brain Bowl Events—a volunteer-based non-profit organization committed to supporting organizations that raise awareness, promote understanding, and support those in our community coping with neurocognitive disorders—raised a staggering $50,000 for Boca Ballet Theatre’s BBT4PD program. We are grateful for Pam’s continued support as a Gold Barre Member of BBT and as Co-Chair for this monumental event!
35th Anniversary Gala: Performance and Dinner
Hosted at FAU’s University Theatre, BBT’s gala performance will feature professional dancers from American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Philadelphia Ballet, dancing a dynamic mix of classical and contemporary pieces from across ballet history. The show will also feature special performances by Boca Ballet Theatre alumni Aurora Chinchilla of The Royal Ballet, Jason Williams of MOMIX, Sasha Lazarus of Giordano Dance Chicago, and Melissa Weber of Dance Key West..
Following the performance, guests will enjoy a selection of cocktails while the stage is transformed into an elegant dining experience set before one of Boca Ballet Theatre’s stunning backdrops. Guests will then join the stars of the performance onstage for an intimate dinner beneath the stage lights, where we can celebrate the incredible impact that BBT has had on South Florida’s artistic community for the past thirty-five years!
We hope you’ll save the date for our 35th Anniversary Gala. We look forward to toasting BBT’s legacy with the many patrons who have supported us over the years!
