College Dance Fair at BBT continues to thrive!

On August 29–31, 2025, Boca Ballet Theatre opened its doors to host College Dance Fair, welcoming ten colleges and 76 dancers and their families from 24 different states for a weekend of valuable insights into navigating college dance programs. College Dance Fair began in 2012 at the encouragement of BBT parents whose children were facing decisions about continuing their dance education in college. It was then that College Dance Fair was born, offering students the opportunity to meet and take classes with representatives from top dance programs around the country, attend information sessions about each school, and network with other dance students from across the country.
Since its creation, CDF has grown from a small program to one of the most in-demand opportunities for high school students interested in pursuing a degree in dance. The success of this program is a testament to its value, including significant interactions with the country’s top dance programs. This year’s programs included The Ailey School, Butler University, Florida State University, University of Utah, NYU-Tisch, Indiana University, University of Cincinnati, University of California-Irvine, Southern Methodist University, and New World School of the Arts. We are proud of our partnership we have cultivated with these programs and many more over these past 13 years, and we celebrate the continued success of College Dance Fair in offering young dancers an environment where they can hone their dance technique and professionalize themselves with opportunities that prepare them for a future career in the performing arts.
