Giordano Dance Chicago is best known as America’s original jazz dance company. Founded by Gus Giordano in 1963, GDC now travels worldwide for its performances and has visited more than 1,200 cities over the course of its 58 year history. Their imprint on the art form of jazz dance is far-reaching and significant. With a vast repertoire of more than 165 original works, mentorship opportunities for emerging choreographers, and exceptional training for professional dancers, Giordano Dance Chicago is sure to be a great home for Sasha!

Some might know that BBT itself has connections to Giordano Dance Chicago, our Co-Artistic Directors Dan Guin and Jane Tyree both danced professionally for the company with Jane later serving as School Director, Scholarship Director, and Ballet Instructor. “Gus Giordano shaped and greatly influenced both Jane and my careers,” Dan says. “We are thrilled to know that one of our own students will be able to contribute to that legacy. I hope she enjoys Chicago as much as we did!”

Congratulations, Sasha! We’re so proud of your accomplishment, and wish you all the best in Chicago!
